Wilco will tour Europe in August in support of their forthcoming, as yet untitled, album, which is scheduled for release in late June on Nonesuch Records. The tour begins in Norway on August 13 and arrives in the UK for a headline performance at The Green Man Festival on August 23 and a date at the Troxy in London on August 25. It also includes dates in the Sweden, Germany and Ireland. |

The forthcoming studio album is Wilco’s seventh and follows their Grammy-nominated 2007 recording Sky Blue Sky. The new album is produced by Wilco and Jim Scott. Prior to the release of the new album, Nonesuch will release Wilco’s acclaimed new concert DVD, Ashes of American Flags, on Saturday April 18 at independent retailers as part of national Record Store Day, as well as wilcoworld.net and nonesuch.com, and then all other outlets on April 20. Culled from concerts in five quintessentially American venues - Cain’s Ballroom in Tulsa, Tipitina’s in New Orleans, The Mobile Civic Center, The Ryman Auditorium in Nashville and the 9:30 Club in Washington D.C. - the film captures the energy, poignancy and musicality of a Wilco concert and tour. It is a Trixie production in association with Nonesuch Records and dBpm, Inc. Shot in HD and directed and produced by Brendan Canty (Fugazi) and Christoph Green, it intersperses interviews with band members and day-in-the-life footage as the band travels across the U.S. To coincide with the DVD’s UK release, Channel 4 will air 30 minutes from the film on April 24.
